Jo Wright

Jo is a founding and active member of the FSI faculty and training team. In addition to her contribution to The FSI Jo maintains a private psychology practice where she consults with individuals, couples and families. She is highly regarded for her expertise in the field of couple therapy.

Following her studies with the Marriage Guidance NSW (now Relationships Australia) she completed postgraduate studies in Psychology at University of Western Sydney, with a major project focus on the contribution of Murray Bowen to the development of family therapy.

Jo’s experience alongside counsellor, supervisor and trainer for Relationships Australia, includes management of Uniting Care’s Unifam Sydney regional office and being a founding member of The Australian Institute for Relationships Studies. Here she was involved in the development of curriculum for the postgraduate training of mental health professionals in the field of couple and family therapy.

She went on to be employed at University of Technology, Sydney customising and delivering
training programs in adult education for organisations involved in the teaching of
psychotherapy.
