Working with couples and families: First session approach and clinical skills

Tuesday 4th May, 9:30am – 12:30pm | On Zoom | Facilitated by Jenny Brown


This seminar will introduce how to transition from working with individuals to having 2 and more family members in sessions.

Learning Goals:

  • To explore how system theory shapes the activity of therapy with couples and families
  • To think about distinctives of a Bowen approach to other popular approaches such as Gottman.
  • To gain some experience of the questioning process that leads to client insight about patterns of reactivity
