Genograms in Clinical Assessment – Dr Monica McGoldrick – A Half Day Workshop
This live and interactive presentation from New Jersey in the U.S. will focus on helping clinicians understand clients’ problems and lives in context and facilitate their connectedness to family, friends and community. We will focus on the use of genograms in clinical assessment and intervention- drawing them, interpreting them, and applying them therapeutically. We will focus on facilitating clients’ bridging cutoffs and overcoming conflicts, which interfere with their functioning. We will discuss the influence of service providers’ socio-cultural background on their values, attitudes, ideas, and professional clinical practice. It will explore the impact of gender, culture, class, and race on our therapy.
